How long does delivery take?
We aim to ship your Dishy Shield as quickly as possible after you place your order. For local Australian orders you can choose “Normal” or “Express” and delivery is relatively quick. For international orders wherever possible, we use Express International Post to reduce transit time. Most orders arrive within 7 to 12 days, depending on your location. A tracking number will be provided so you can follow your order’s progress. We regularly ship to the US and Canada without complaints.
Why hasn’t my Dishy Shield arrived yet?
Occasionally, shipments are held by your local post office. Please contact them with the tracking the number we provided (either online or by phone). In most cases (99% of the time), a delivery notice is left, indicating the item is awaiting pickup. If it remains unclaimed, it will be returned to us and a new postage fee will apply to resend it.

What’s the difference between Gen 2 and Gen 3 Dishy Shield?
Both Gen 2 and Gen 3 models are made from the same durable 4.5mm UV-coated polycarbonate. Only the Dishy Shield Mini uses a slightly thinner 3mm UV-coated polycarbonate.
Will it affect my Starlink signal?
Not at all. Polycarbonate is RF-transparent, so you won’t notice any difference in speed or signal quality when using the Dishy Shield.
Does the snow-melt function still work?
Yes. The Dishy Shield transmits enough heat to melt snow under normal conditions. However, if you experience heavy snow and notice it’s not melting sufficiently, we recommend removing the shield temporarily. You can also apply a hydrophobic coating to help repel moisture and snow. Contact us for product recommendations.
Will it cause heat build-up on my terminal?
In our tests using a laser thermometer on a sunny summer day in Australia, we observed no significant temperature difference with or without the Dishy Shield installed. We've also run a terminal with the shield for over 12 months with no negative effects.
Is the Dishy Shield easy to install?
Yes. Simply remove the protective film and slide the shield over your Starlink terminal.
The DISHY SHIELD is designed to fit snug. If it feels tight, hold the terminal at the base and press firmly from the top to slide it down. This ensures a secure fit.
Is the Dishy Shield UV-resistant?
Absolutely. The Dishy Shield is made from double-sided UV-coated polycarbonate, which means it won’t fade or yellow for at least 10 years.
How does Polycarbonate compare to HDPE?
HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is commonly used for items like cutting boards and plastic bottles. However, it's prone to cracking, flammable, and has poor thermal performance.Polycarbonate, on the other hand, is used in high-impact applications like bulletproof windows and aircraft canopies. It’s heat-resistant and self-extinguishing, meaning it won't burn without a continuous heat source.
