What is DISHY SHIELD?

Dishy Shield is a durable cover for your STARLINK dish, made from impact resistant high quality, UV protected, 3 or 4.5mm clear Polycarbonate. This means it is guaranteed not to fade for 10 years, or sometimes even more. Should this happen, however, it won’t affect the strength of Polycarbonate in any way.

Dishy Shield, once installed, is almost invisible. So you won’t even notice it is there.

Will I loose signal quality?

Being a clear Polymer (Plastic), our tests have shown no loss of signal quality.

How strong is Polycarbonate?

Although it is a polymer (plastic), Polycarbonate is 10 times stronger than glass. In some cases, even stronger, depending on the thickness of the material.

Is Polycarbonate eco-friendly?

Polycarbonate panels are made with intrinsic qualities that allow it to be a sustainable material, with a minimal negative impact on our earth and environment. In fact, it is completely recyclable at the end of its use, like many other recyclable plastics.

Is Polycarbonate heat and fire resistant?

Pure polycarbonate is inherently not flammable and has a high ignition temperature. It is classified as a self-extinguishing material, meaning it will not sustain a flame once the external ignition source is removed.

Is Dishy Shield easy to clean?

Once installed, very little is needed to maintain Dishy Shield. However, should you wish to remove and clean Dishy Shield, you can do so with a mild soap solution. Don’t use any alcaline solutions like Windex or similar. Just a note, Polycarbonate material does scratch, but it can be polished. Contact us for advice should you need to.

Is Dishy Shield easy to install?

Once you receive Dishy Shield, all you have to do is remove it from the packaging, remove the protective anti-scratch sticker ( if you want ) and slide Dishy Shield over you Starlink Dish from the top down. That’s it!

If it is a little tight, just lightly pull open the side wings as this will release the tension that grips your Starlink Dish’s side. Don’t worry, you won’t break it. It needs to fit tightly to prevent any movement, or the wind removing it from the Dish.

Are there any Warranties?

Dishy Shield comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Should impact damage happen to your Dishy Shield during a hail storm, just send it back to us for a full replacement. Should you upgrade to the next Gen dish, we’ll gladly help you with a generous discount to help protect the next generation Starlink Dish.
